Surga Central Integrates with First AML

Thursday 21 May 2026

From 1 July 2026, real estate agencies in Australia must comply with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006. As the industry prepares for these changes, agencies need solutions that simplify workflows while reducing administrative burden. We are excited to announce a new integration between Surga Central and First AML, allowing a more seamless and automated approach to managing AML compliance.

Surga Central's AML approach allows commercial real estate agencies to conduct AML checks using a flexible workflow that can restrict information on a need to know basis, whilst allowing agents to easily understand the status of an AML check.

Steve Clark, CEO of Adept Business Systems said:

"The July deadline for the introduction for AML checks by real estate professionals in Australia is fast approaching. Because commercial property transactions often involve a variety of entities, including self-managed super funds, private companies, overseas companies and other structures, there is a need for use of a specialised AML platform. First AML has a proven record in the commercial real estate sector, and some of our customers overseas have been working with this solution for some time."

Milan Cooper, CEO and Co-Founder at First AML said:

"Tranche 2 will fundamentally change how commercial real estate firms operate. AML can’t remain a disconnected, manual process while deals are moving at speed. Surga’s integration with First AML brings compliance visibility directly into the sales workflow, helping firms manage obligations more consistently and efficiently without disrupting transactions. This is exactly the kind of operational shift the industry needs as AML becomes part of everyday real estate operations."
